Obituary of Marguerite Hennessey

Marguerite (McMaster) Hennessey, age 100, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2014 surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Fitzgerald) McMaster. Marguerite was born in Boston on September 1, 1913 and was a graduate of Girls Latin High School in Boston. She and her husband David were married at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Jamaica Plain and lived for over fifty two years in Arlington. She has been a resident of Mansfield for the past ten years. She was a former Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader in Arlington, Officer for the Arlington Catholic Women's Club and was a member of the BC High School Mothers Guild. She was an avid bridge player and she was a master point holder. Her most cherished times were spent with her loving family. Beloved wife of the late David L. Hennessey. Loving mother of David Hennessey and his wife Judy of Olympia, WA., Patricia Thoms and her husband John of New Providence, NJ and Paul Hennessey and his wife Marie of Foxborough. Cherished grandmother of Ethan Hennessey and his wife Jennifer, Seth Hennessey and his wife Kelly, Kara M. Thoms, John Thoms and his wife Diana, David Thoms and David Hennessey and his wife Deanna. Also survived by seven great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her siblings Joseph McMaster, Nora Fletcher, Mary Hughes, Gerard McMaster, Kathleen Harris and Frances McMaster. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 1 to 4PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., Mansfield. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
