Obituary of Margaret M. Eriksson

Margaret M. Peggy (Goyette) Eriksson, age 85, passed from this life Dec. 7, 2013, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was the devoted wife of the late Carl W. Eriksson. Born in Boston, June 20, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Egan) Goyette. She was educated in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School. Peggy moved to Duxbury 14 years ago, having previously resided in Carver. She was a talented and self-taught craftswoman whose greatest joys included learning the art of spinning and dying wool, weaving and creating intricate Scandinavian needlework. She was the loving mother of Nancy Eriksson of Plymouth, Richard Eriksson and his wife Anna of Duxbury and Robert Eriksson and his wife Patty of Carver. She was the beloved sister of Jeanne Ruo Malphrus and Roy Goyette, both of Fla.; grandmother of 8; and great-grandmother of 14. A memorial service will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth. A private burial will take place in Central Cemetery, Carver, Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
