Margaret Elizabeth A. Owens July 16, 1930 - May 6, 2014 Surfside Beach MARGARET ELIZABETH ALTMAN OWENS Surfside Beach, S.C. Margaret Elizabeth Altman Owens, widow of the late Allen Levern Owens passed away Tuesday May 6, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Owens was born in Vox, S.C., a daughter of the late Clarence W. and the late Gracie Stone Altman. She was a homemaker and enjoyed line dancing and playing cards. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and she attended Surfside Baptist Church. Surviving are her son Larry L. (Debbie) Owens, sisters Ida Frances Koonce, Susan Reid; brothers; Barry Altman, Billy Altman, OB Altman, C.W. "Coot" Altman; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Davey Owens and Ricky Owens Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday May 8, 2014, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2014, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main Street, Hemingway, SC 29554.
