Oct. 19, 1920 July 1, 2013Margaret (Pearl) Neilson Bonner left us July 1, 2013 in Victoria. Born in 1920 in Coatbridge, Scotland, she moved with her family to Toronto in 1924, married Kenneth Bonner in 1948, and moved with him to Victoria in 1996.She is predeceased by Kenneth and survived by brother Tom Harvey of Toronto, daughter Catherine Bonner of Victoria, son David Bonner of Georgetown, Ont., grandson Alex Whitehead of Victoria, and step-grandchildren Hazel and Lucie Whitehead.Pearl was a gracious, loving, kind-hearted lady who truly cared for people.She was passionately interested in life and delighted in her Scots heritage. She had a wicked sense of humour. She loved concerts, old movies, long walks, and especially the company of her cherished friends. She built bridges between all conditions of humanity, brightening the days of all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.
