Obituary of Marcel-E. Casaubon


Marcel E. Casaubon of Chelmsford, Acton environmental engineer; 78 CHELMSFORD - Marcel E. Casaubon, 78, a longtime Chelmsford resident who was a World War II veteran and an environmental engineer in Acton, died yesterday, Nov. 6, at a hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Irene M. (Deschenes) Casaubon. He was born in Lowell on March 16, 1925, son of the late Edouard J. and Alberta E. (Saucier) Casaubon. Mr. Casaubon served in the Navy during World War II in Germany and England. He was discharged at the rank of coxswain. Prior to retiring, he was an environmental engineer at N.T.S. Co. in Acton. He attended St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford. He was a member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks, where he volunteered at many functions at the lodge. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons and their wives, Ronald M. and Lynda Casaubon of Lowell, Robert M. and Deborah Casaubon, residing in California, and Russell M. and Lisa M. Casaubon of Chelmsford; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Simone R. Garneau of Lowell and Doris T. "Catin" and Robert J. Maille of Dracut; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
