Obituary of Lucille E. Goudreau

of Fitchburg, was active at city church; 88 FITCHBURG -- Lucille E. (Beauchemin) Goudreau, 88, of Fitchburg, MA, died Friday morning, May 13, 2011, in Health Allliance Leominster Hospital, after an illness.She was born in Fitchburg, MA, on April 22,1923, the daughter of Joseph and Evelina (Baillargreon) Beauchemin, and had lived all of her life in Fitchburg. She attended and graduated from St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School class of 1941.Lucille was an active Girl Scout Leader for several years, and was also a Friend of the Fitchburg Public Library. She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Church and past President of the Ladies Guild at the church. She also was active in the many church fairs and served as the chairperson for the knitting booth for many years. She also enjoyed sewing and baking for family and friends.She is survived by her children, Jane and her husband, Patrick Keleher of North Attleboro, MA, Pam and her husband, Tom Vanderwalker of Gilbert, Arizona, Audrey Goudreau of Fitchburg, MA, Lisa and her husband, Marc Lemay of Apache Junction, Arizona, Julie and her husband, Michael Bisceglia of Fitchburg, MA, and William Goudreau of Simi Valley, California; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anne Beauchemin of Fitchburg, MA; and many nephews and nieces.She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Albert O. Goudreau in June of 2010.GOUDREAU -- The funeral will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 with Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg, MA. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Calling hours will be on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, MA is directing.
