Obituary of Louise Williams

Louise WilliamsBorn April 29, 1929, Frances Louise Balch Williams, 84, of Lexington, died peacefully in the presence of family at Glenwood Nursing Home Tuesday afternoon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Villard and Clayton Balch, and granddaughter, Lydia Williams. She is survived by her children Danny (Marilyn) Williams, Jenny (Jay) Mooney, Connie Pierce, Kay Fleming, and Mark (Arlene) Williams; ten grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Wendell Balch, Zelma Hayes, Marcie Bullock, J.V. Balch, Ralph Balch, Ruth Mashburn, Carol Riddle, Ray Balch, Anthony Balch, and Melinda McGee.Funeral arrangements are being managed by Greenhill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Friday, April 11, at the funeral home on U.S. 43 in Greenhill with the service following at noon with Pastor Sam Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at the Nebo Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Villard and Clayton Balch Scholarship Fund at UNA, UNA Foundation, UNA Box 5113, Florence, AL 35632-0001, una.edu/give.
