Obituary of Lionel-Joseph Blondin

BLONDIN, Lionel Joseph - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Thursday, August 30th, 2007 at the age of 92 years. Son of the late Charles and of the late Marie (née Bourrie) Blondin. Beloved husband of Alice Alida Blondin(nee Piette) of Sudbury. Loving father of Doris Vitali (Robert) and Lorraine Blondin both of Sudbury, Léo-Paul Blondin (Lana Dale) of Kingston and Sister Claire Marie Blondin of Mission, B.C. Predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Neil, Julie, Cheryl, Tina, Lisa, Stacey and by his great-grandchildren Lillian, Yasmine, Nigel and Abraham. Mr. Blondin was retired from Falconbridge Mines having worked in maintenance for many years. Lionel was a very humble man of strong faith with high family values. He will be remembered for being a remarkable handyman who enjoyed boat building and sharing his many crafts. He was also rewarded for his inventiveness at the mines. In his leisure time, he loved to travel. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 boulevard Lasalle E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Saturday, September 1st, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury.
