Obituary of Leo Desaulniers

DESAULNIERS, Leo - passed away peacefully with his wife at his bedside at the Belmont Long Term Care on Thursday morning, October 8th, 2009, at the age of 91 years. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie Desaulniers of Belleville, and his loving children Donald Desaulniers (Jane) of Belleville, Marilyn Cassidy (Wayne) of Peterborough, Robert Desaulniers (Kristi) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Cheryl Kille of Belleville. Lovingly remembered by four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Leo was born in Montreal, Quebec, on April 11th, 1918 and was a longtime employee of Northern Electric in Belleville, Montreal and Ottawa. Following his retirement, Leo searched property titles for his son for many years. Leo was a wonderful husband and father and was well liked and respected by his co-workers and friends. Also, Leo was an avid golfer and a skilled handyman. Arrangements in the care of the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588).
