KELLER, Kathleen Dorothy September 14, 1926 – June 30, 2012At the age of 85 years Kay went to join her beloved husband Bert who predeceased her by 10 years. Her memory will be forever lovingly cherished by her four children David (Sandra), Christine (Tom), Margaret (Ian), Colin (Kelly), her six grandchildren, Lee, Dawne, Nigel (Melissa), Scott (Zoe), Kevin (Ashley), Sarah (Ollie), her two great- grandchildren Joseph and Olivia, her sister Pam, her brother Arthur (Bridget), plus numerous other relatives and friends.Kay was born in Abergele, Wales, the eldest of four children of Samual and Florence Wale. In her teen years she was a member of the Women's ATS and served in Germany during World War II. She immigrated to Canada in 1971 where she met and married Hilbert (Bert) Keller in 1975. They lived in Edmonton for a number of years before moving to Sooke, BC and finally settling in Oliver, BC. On the death of Bert, Kay returned to Edmonton to be close to family.A celebration of Kay's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6th at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 – 34 Avenue in Edmonton. After the service please join us at 1:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Prima Villa Estates, 4743 – 25th Avenue for refreshments and to share memories and stories of Kay. Kay will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered in Oliver.
