Obituary of Karen-Ishee Whitney

WHITNEY, Karen Ishee 69, of Tampa, died Aug. 6, 2011. She is predeceased by her parents, Dallas and Edna Kirby. Survived by her husband, Eugene Whitney; son, Jason Ishee (Sharon); daughters, Shannon Coffee (John), Shar Ishee (Pattie), Shawn Ishee (Amos); sister, Kay Ratliff; stepsons, Richard Whitney, Frank Whitney, Mark Whitney; stepdaughter, Theresa Roberts; 22 loving grandchildren; and 7 great- grandchildren. Karen was the past President of Lanier Elementary, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and the Plant High Reunion Committee. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to LifePath Hospice or Lanier Elementary P.T.A. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011 at 10 am with funeral service at 11 am, both at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
