Obituary of John-W. Tibbetts

John W. Tibbetts, 79NEW GLOUCESTER - John W. Tibbetts, 79, died on Jan. 5, 2015.Born in Arlington, Mass., March 1, 1935, he was the son of Milton E and Mary Carroll Tibbetts and graduated Arlington High School. Mr. Tibbetts served in the U.S. Army in the 1950s after which he served as a lineman for New England Telephone for 30 years. His favorite hobbies were clockmaking, furniture repair and genealogy. He enjoyed going to his son's shop and Dunkin Donuts. He was predeceased by his wife Ann Callahan Tibbetts. He is survived by four sons Michael of New Gloucester, Paul of Danvers, Mass., James of Spencer, Mass. and David of Wellington, Fla; nine grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Matt, John, Robert, Mitchy, Anna, and Ryan. He is also survived by his Pugsley.A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Rd., Gray. Memorial donations maybe made to Dave B.
