Obituary of John-Elisha Middleton

John Elisha Middleton, 84, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry-Serenity Chapel in Sheffield, with Sid Fulford and Elvis Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.Mr. Middleton was born Sept. 23, 1916, in Olive Hill, Tenn. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the 1075th Signal Company. He was a member of Shoals Church of Christ and was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co.Survivors include: wife, Wynelle Middleton of Sheffield; son, Bobby Middleton of Sheffield; brother, Bill Middleton of Iuka, Miss.; grandsons, John D. Middleton and Robert T. Middleton; great grandson, Jacob Elisha Middleton.Pallbearers are Jim Tidwell, John D. Middleton, John Mark Stevens, Robert T. Middleton, Billy Dean Middleton and Jim Russell. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Bradford, Garland Clark, Joe Horton, W.T. Akers, Loyd Borden, Ray Mayes and Billy Ray Borden.
