John Dunlop 21 March, 2013CSIRO staff and alumni mourn the tragic loss of colleague and friend, Dr John Dunlop, from the CSIRO Material Sciences & Engineering Division. We offer our deepest sympathy to Vivian and other members of John''s family. John was a highly-skilled solid-state physicist, specialising in magnetic materials. In his 32 years with CSIRO prior to his retirement in 2008, he made major contributions to scientific research and the success of Australian companies, and to the solid-state physics research community. Johns depth of knowledge, his readiness to assist his colleagues even in retirement, and his friendly and generous nature, will be sadly missed by friends and former colleagues throughout the organisation, particularly from the Lindfield site.Dr Megan Clark, CSIRO Chief Executive, and CSIRO Board
