ObituaryJohn B. "Bernie" McNamara 78, of Bonita Springs passed away December 28, 2005 after a brief illness. Bernie will be remembered for his charm, wit, and love for life. A resident of Bonita Springs for the past 8 years, he was formerly of Kinnelon, NJ. He was born April 20, 1927 in Liverpool, England a son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Maitland) McNamara. He received a degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Liverpool. Bernie spent his entire 45 year career with Lucas Aerospace in England and later in Englewood, NJ. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, belonged to the UOC of Pelican Landing and was a past President of the Costa del Sol association.He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julianne McNamara of Bonita Springs, FL; son, Brett of Manville, NJ; daughter, Michele of San Diego, CA; brother, Larry McNamara of Dyfid, Wales; sister, Micki Owen of Liverpool, England and many nieces and nephews.Private family services will be held. In a few weeks his family and friends will hold a celebration of his tremendous life.
