Obituary of Jessie-Irene Fox


FOX Jessie Irene Fox, age 77 and an Orange Park resident for the past 50 years passed away January 25, 2007 in Jacksonville. She was born September 6, 1929 in Burnsville, NC, the daughter of Lewis Hicks and Ada Boone Hicks. Jessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many people in Orange Park. A devout Christian woman, Jessie enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. She loved and cared for all animals especially her dog Hootie, and she never met a stray animal she wouldn't care for. In 2005, she lost her loving husband of 55 years, R.C. Fox, Jr. Surviving are her daughters Deborah Fox Ziehm of Modesto, CA, and Cynthia Fox of Neptune Beach, FL; her son Michael Fox and his wife Susan Fox of Orange Park; also her nine grandchildren Michael and Taylor Fox, Kimberly, Kristen, and Katherine Pellegrino, and Amanda, Matthew, David, and Andrew Ziehm; she is also survived by many other loving family members including her sister Dolly Webb of Pennsylvania, in-laws, and many friends. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday January 30, 2007 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park with Rev. Floyd Long officiating. Jessie will be laid to rest with her husband R.C. in the Garden of Prayer at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
