Obituary of Jean-Brown Walker

BOILING SPRINGS, SC-- Jean B. Walker, 72, of 2531 Boiling Springs Road, died Monday, November 7, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.Born June 15, 1933, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Ralph (Jug) and Thelma Gregory Brown. A graduate of Cecils Business College, she was a retired Credit Manager with Builderway of Spartanburg. She was a lifetime member of Hayne Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School and current director of the Young At Heart. She was actively involved in the Christian Womens Association of Spartanburg, currently treasurer of the Boiling Springs Friends of the Library, and a member of the T.O.P.S. Chapter of Spartanburg which she organized in 1968. She was beloved and will be missed by all those with whom she shared a friendship.Survivors include her husband, Charles J. Walker of the home; daughter, Sandi Williams and her husband Rick of Boiling Springs; granddaughter, Lauren April Williams and special friend Adam Frank of Spartanburg; brother, Ralph (Mickey) Brown and his wife Joanne of Raleigh, NC; and special aunt, Doris Gregory of Southern Shops.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2005, at Floyds Boiling Springs Chapel conducted by Rev. John Lynch and Rev. Scott Ogle.
