James Rufus Farmer, 96, a resident of Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, formerly of 2 Loop St., died Nov. 2, 2001. He was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II as a miliary policeman. Surviving are a daughter, Frances Farmer Bailey of Greenville; eipght grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: Noon Monday at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. Burial: Resthaven Memorial Gardens. - Clark's Funeral Home.
