Obituary of James Preston

PRESTON, James Alfred 73 years, on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Beloved husband to Patricia (nee Sumner) of 45 years. Beloved father of Michael, James and wife Michelle, Donald and wife Denise, Lynanne Sparling and husband Grant, Thomas and wife Paulette, Peter and wife Barb, and Michelle. Dear Papa of 21 grandchildren. Dear brother of Bud and Ruth, Bill, Margaret Robson, Tom and Floris, Butch and Kathy. James was a 3rd and 4th degree member of the K of C Council 2275, Belle River. A former O.P.P officer. Jim was retired from Trim Trends Canada. Visiting Thursday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral procession leaves Friday, September 30, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., from the Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame St., Belle River (728-1500) to St. Simon & St. Jude Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Parish Prayers Thursday at 4 p.m. K of C Prayers Thursday at 7:00 pm. Cremation to follow. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. A tree will be planted in memory of James Preston in the Melady Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in the Fall of 2006. All are welcome.
