McLEOD, James Alexander (Allister) 1914 - 2006 James Alexander (Allister) McLeod of Edmonton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Misericordia Hospital at the age of 91. He leaves behind his cherished wife Frances of 66 years; his son, Gordon (Cathy); and daughter, Marie (Rob). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Darrel (Bonnie), Kevin (Linda), Shauna (Noel), Michelle (Wade), Bryan (Angie) and Scott, who will always remember and appreciate Grandpa's faithful and enthusiastic support at their hockey and soccer games. He also leaves behind eleven beautiful great-grandchildren. Allister, who grew up in the Bowden area, was predeceased by his parents, James and Maude McLeod; his one brother, Gerald; and two sisters Margie and Grace. Allister was a man of many talents and interests ranging from his love of photography and music, to his ability to fix machinery and weld anything that could possibly be welded. Allister and Frances, when they were first married, lived in one of the first homemade trailers in Alberta that he built from plans found in Popular Mechanics. However, what he will be most remembered for was his devotion to his wife and his love for his family.
