Obituary of James-H. Farmer


FARMER, James H., 86, of Plant City, passed away August 26, 2007. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Maxwell Farmer Jr.; and his sisters, Sarah Sipple and Mildred Davis. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jewell Farmer; one son, Don H. Farmer, and his wife, Kathie; one daughter, Elaine Farmer; one sister, Lillie Belle Davis; two grandchildren, Sarah Kazlauskas and husband, Kurt, and Joseph Farmer; and great-grandchild, Jakob Kazlauskas. Mr. Farmer was employed by South Florida Baptist Hospital for moe than 34 years. He was a World War II Army veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star, member and former president of the Plant City Lions Club, and member of First Baptist Church of Plant City, where he served as treasurer, deacon and deacon emeritus. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2007, at Hopewell Funeral Home, with Dr. Ron Churchill officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
