Obituary of James-E. Brophy

James E. "Rebel" Brophy, 66, of Louisville, died Sunday, April 4, 2004. He was a former cabinet worker for H.J. Scheirich, an Army veteran and a Christian by faith. Survivors include his children, Donna Sue, James Edward Jr. and Deborah; his mother, Ellen Ruth Brophy; one brother, Billy J. Brophy; sister, Patricia Ruth Duncan; and his friends, Bowdie, Ginny and JoAnn, who cared for him. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday.
