Obituary of John-E. Hastings

John E. Hastings, a lifelong Pearl River resident, went to the Lord in peace on August 13, 2007 at the age of 86. Born December 19, 1920 in New York City to Joseph and Annie Murtha Hastings. A World War II Navy veteran, serving aboard a mine sweeper in the South Pacific. A member of the American Legion Post 329, member Pearl River Seniors (Club A), member Carpenters Union Local 11, member St. Margaret's parish. Loving brother of Mary Hastings and the late Francis and Joseph Hastings. Also survived by a nephew and grand nephews and a grand niece and many cousins and friends. Funeral Mass Thursday 11 am St. Margarets Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. Visiting Thursday 9-10:30 am.
