Obituary of John-D. Bonn

John D. Bonn, 79, of Merrimack, NH, died Wednesday, September 25, 2002, in Nashua, NH after a lengthy illness. Mr. Bonn was born November 25, 1922 in the Bronx, NY. Before moving to Merrimack, he was a long-time resident of Pelham, NY. Mr. Bonn was a Navy veteran of World War II. Before retirement, Mr. Bonn was a carpet salesman for Dilmaghani & Sons in Scarsdale. He was an active outdoorsman and most recently a member of the Lone Pine Hunters Club in Hollis, NH. Survivors include two sons Kenneth Bonn of Hollis and Robert Bonn of Brookfield, CT; four grandchildren Bradley, Stacey, Kyle and Matthew Bonn; a brother Harry Bonn of Ballston Lake, NY and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be conducted at the Pelham Funeral Home today. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Mr. Bonn's name to a Cub Scout pack, Boy Scout troop, or firearms safety/education program for young people in the local area.
