He was born in Youngstown, OH on August 10, 1934 and graduated from South High School in 1952. Served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959 and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Duke worked for the former Erie-Lackawanna Railroad for twenty-eight years as a brakeman, conductor, and extra yardmaster. Owned and operated Snider's Antenna & T V Service Inc. He was Chief Investigator and owner of Specialized Investigations and Specialized Video-Taping. He was a former past president of Ohio TSA (Television Servicemen's Assoc.), past president of the Youngstown Downtown Kiwanis Club and a former chairman of the board of the Youngstown Area Better Business Bureau. He was also a former member of The Crime Clinic of Greater Youngstown and former member of the Curbstone Coaches. He was a catcher and played fast pitch softball for a number of leagues and teams in Youngstown, but mostly for Local 1331. He also boxed in the Golden Gloves and in the Army at Fort Jackson, SC. He was a fisherman and boater and had a boat on Catawba Island on Lake Erie for over fifteen years. He also had a boat at Ft Myers Beach. He retired to Ft Myers, Fl in 1996 where he met and married his wife. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne, his daughters, Tracy (Mick) Markovitch, Christine Owsley and Lynda Lange, grandchildren, Savannah and Christian Owsley, Mollie Callahan, Sarah and Mitchell Gross, four great grandchildren and a brother, William J. (Martha) Snider. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Snider.A memorial services will be held at 11: 00 AM on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Hope Hospice Chapel, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft.
