Obituary of Israel-James Wallace

Israel James Wallace of Newark, N.J., made his transition on June 12, 2013. The celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Whigham Funeral Home, 580 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark, N.J. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will commence at 9 a.m. A retired longshoreman, Israel was the devoted husband of Thelma Wallace; loving father of James Jr., Norman, Tony, Steven, Johnny, Rosalie Wallace and Serita Moore, Odessa Best, and Diane Word. He was predeceased by his parents, Susan and James Wallace, and two children, Bobby Wallace and Denise Buchannan. He was the beloved brother of Simon and William Wallace; precious grandfather of 39 grandchildren, and also survived by a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
