Obituary of Isabelle Fields

FITCHBURG -- Isabelle A. (Draper) Fields, 90, formerly of 25 Lincoln St., died on Saturday, Dec. 1, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster. Mrs. Fields was born on April 8, 1917, in Kilmarnock, Scotland, daughter of Alexander and Agnas M.C. (Armour). She came to this country from Scotland on the maiden transatlantic voyage of the SS Transylvania in 1925. Mrs. Fields worked at Goodwin Shoe Store and Rogers in the square. She retired from Berkey Photo. She was a graduate of Fitchburg High School Class of 1936 and had been a member of Highland Baptist Church for 60 years. She leaves her husband of 65 years, John N. Fields; two sons, John A. Fields and his wife, Lorna, of Ashburnham and Ronald D. Fields and his wife, Janice, of Fitchburg; five grandchildren, Dana Fields and his wife, Patty, of Ashburnham, Sherri Mowrey and her husband, Robin, of Royalston, Tara Boston and her husband, Bill, of Winchendon, Daniel Fields and Christine of Gardner and Andrew Fields and Maryellen of Fitchburg; nine great-grandchildren, Dana Fields and his wife, Kristina, of Ft. Carson, Colo., Farah Fields of Leominster, Brittney, Jocelyn and Madeline Boston, all of Winchendon, Nikolas and Allisyn Mowrey of Royalston, Orrin and Riana Fields of Ashburhham; and a great-great-grandson, making the fifth generation, Jayson A. Fields of Ft. Carson, Colo. Mrs. Fields was predeceased by a sister, Doris Williams; a granddaughter, Rebekah Lynn Fields; and a niece, Nancy Williams. FIELDS -- A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. in the Highland Baptist Church, 19 Cedar St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Westminster.
