Obituary of Hildegard-Martha Kelley

HAMPTON, N.Y. - Hildegard Martha Kelley, 82, formerly of Poultney, Vt., died April 22, 2009, at her home.She was born May 5, 1926, in Putlitz, Germany, the daughter of Hermann and Elise (Kulick) Baker, and was educated there.Mrs. Kelley was a mother and grandmother, an avid New York Yankees baseball fan, and enjoyed working in her garden.Survivors include her children, James Kelley of Hampton, Neal Kelley of Claremont, N.H., and Evelyn Roberts of Middle Granville, N.Y.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Kelley, in 1987 and a grandson.At her request, there are no calling hours.The funeral service will be held at the convenience of her family.Burial will be in Poultney Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Poultney Cemetery, PO Box 63, Poultney, VT 05764.Arrangements are under the direction of the Durfee Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Fair Haven, Vt.
