Garden City - Herbert Joseph Mack, 77, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at home. He was a native of Savannah and lived in New York before returning here many years ago. He was a member of Mt. Zion Independent Methodist Church where he served as Chairman of the Steward Board, Church Treasurer, President of the Pastors Aide Board, former teacher of the Mens Bible Class and past Sunday School teacher. Survivors: two daughters, Cynthia Hall and husband Cleveland, of Atlanta, Nicole Warren and husband Herbert, of Savannah; two sons, Joseph Mack of New York City, NY, Ned Styron and wife Antoinette, of Savannah; sister, Ruby Mack Reedy of Savannah; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Mack and Helen Mack, both of Savannah; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10 at Mt. Zion Independent Methodist Church, 1305 Golden Street. The Rev. John Frazier, officiating. Burial: Woodville Cemetery.
