Obituary of Grace Webster

LEOMINSTER -- Grace (Charles) Webster, 93, of 6 Beth Ave., formerly of 935 John Fitch Highway and 27 Gale St., Fitchburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Sunrise Assisted Living, after an illness. She was born in Harpoot, Turkey, on March 1, 1910, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Peters) Charles. She came to Fitchburg at an early age and lived here all her life. Mrs. Webster worked for many years at the former Crocker-Burbank Weyerhauser Paper Co. She was a very active member of Christ Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was the church organist for a brief period. She volunteered on many committees in her church life. She leaves two nieces, Pearl Morrison and Christine Chevoor, both of Watertown; two nephews, Paul Chevoor of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Peter Chevoor of New Port Richie, Fla.; a cousin, George Charles Jr., of Florida; and nieces and nephews. Her husband of 41 years, Robert P. Webster, died on Feb. 6, 2002. Also two brothers, Russell Charles and George Charles and three sisters, Mary Charles, Elsie Chevoor and Rose Mylott, predeceased her. WEBSTER -- On Dec. 31, Grace (Charles) Webster, 93, of Leominster. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, 569 Main St., Fitchburg. Contributions may be made in her memory to Christ Church, 569 Main St.; or to Diversified Hospice, 316 Nichols Road, both of Fitchburg, MA 01420.
