Obituary of Gordon-Friend Caldwell

Gordon Friend Caldwell, son of the late Andrew Clarence and Audrey Friend Caldwell, passed away Dec. 9, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.Gordon leaves behind his wife of 53 years, formerly, Dot Melvin, and two daughters, Stacy Lei and Kelly Lyn, both of Athens, Ga. His extended family members include brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Betty Melvin of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; nephew, Curtis Melvin III (Maggie) of Washington, D.C.; niece, Meredith Melvin of San Marcos, Texas; cousins, Dr. Jim Branson (Joan) of Magnolia, Texas, and Dr. Carolyn Woogh (Mike) of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He also leaves his beloved dachshunds, Gordy and Mattie.The family wishes to thank Dr. Wyndal Blankenship and his staff for their continuous support and dedication to the welfare of our loved one.
