Obituary of George Neilson


NEILSON, George Croydon 1928 - 2008 Croydon passed away on May 23, 2008 shortly after his 80th birthday. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Linda, daughter-in-law Cecilia, his grandchildren Chrissy, Gordon, Marianne, Paul and Jade, his sister Mildred and her husband Charlie Elliott, his sisters and brother-in-law Irene and Bert Poile and Marjorie Stephenson and many other members of Ladner's pioneer Bowing family. Croydon enjoyed a career in Nuclear physics as professor and researcher at the University of Alberta and was involved with the start up and operation of Triumf at the University of British Columbia. We will always remember him for his big heart and see him happily tending to his vegetables, exotic flowers and tropical fruit trees. For anyone who would like to join us in remembering Croydon there will be a Memorial and Reception at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk Road, Ladner, B.C.
