Obituary of Frederic Andrews

ANDREWS, Frederic 83, died Sept. 26, 2009. Born in Owego, NY, he and his wife Ellen moved to Florida in 1952. After a 33 year career working in the advertising departments of the St. Petersburg Times, he retired in 1985. Prior to joining the Times, he worked for the Binghamton (NY) Sun. Following retirement, he consulted for the Nairobi Nation newspaper in Kenya, traveled extensively with his wife Ellen, and pursued his lifelong interest in history as a volunteer at the St. Petersburg Historical Museum. Predeceased by his wife, Ellen, of 59 years, he is survived by sons Mark (wife Myrna), Bruce (wife Susan), four grandchildren Jesse and Travis, David (wife Hope) and Sarah. Friends may call on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 from 4:30 pm until his memorial service at 5:30 pm at Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201-Dr. M.L. King St. N.
