Obituary of Frank Allen

Allen, Frank J.Born December, 1942, died March 25, 2013 of natural causes.Frank was predeceased by his father, James J. Allen and Mother Mildred. After graduating from Roger Ludlow High School in Fairfield, CT, he enlisted in the United States Navy out of Norfolk, Virginia and served on the USS Lindenwald (LSD-6). After four years of service, he transferred to the Naval Reserves.Frank was a long time resident of Newtown, CT. He worked as a senior engineer for Pitney Bowes for many years. He held a patent for a motor and was very active in building and flying model airplanes for which he won awards.Frank leaves behind to mourn his passing, his sister, Mildred, brother-in-law, Richard, niece, Christine and nephew, Rich, along with two grandnieces and several cousins.Funeral services and burial with full military honors will be private.Please visit www.collins-funeral.com to leave condolences.
