Obituary of Florence Kinney

KINNEY Florence E. Kinney, age 92, beloved wife of the late Robert B. Kinney entered into eternal rest on March 11th, 2011. Florence was born on October 9th, 1918 in Portland, Maine. She married the love of her life, Robert B. Kinney on October 2nd, 1940 at St. Patrick's church in Portland. They enjoyed living in Maine for many years until they eventually settled in Connecticut, where her late husband worked as a leadsman for AVCO Lycoming. Florence was an employee at Kay's department store for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, trips to the casino, and spending time with her loving family. She was also a member of St. Ann's church in Milford, CT. She will be warmly remembered by her family and friends for her kind and loving spirit. Florence's family remained her greatest joy, and she will be sadly missed by all of those who had the good fortune to know her. She leaves one daughter, Darlene Kinney Rusinak and her husband Jack Rusinak of Stratford; one son, Robert F. Kinney of Milford; her sister, Agnes O'Donnell of Portland, Maine; two grandchildren, Jason Rusinak and Kim Rusinak (Nelson) and she was predeceased by her brother, John Arnold. A mass of Christian celebration will be held on Thursday, March 17th, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's church in Milford. Family and friends are invited to attend the mass celebrating her life. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
