Obituary of Ernest-Edgar Daniels

ObituaryErnest (John) Edgar Daniels, 84, of Fort Myers, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 4, 2005. He was born on September 16, 1920 in Marco Island, Florida.Ernest is survived by his children; Ernest (Bud) Jr. (Janet) Daniels, Barbara (Horace) Williams, Diane (David) Geibel, Terry (Karen) Daniels, and Tina (Fred) Barker; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Laura Daniels.Ernest was a World War II Veteran and served in Japan in the U.S. Army. Prior to the war, he worked for the State of Florida. After returning home, he was employed as a welder for Daniels Brothers Boat Works and also Bob Dean Welding. In the 1950's he started his own business, Daniels' Welding and Propeller Works, which is still being operated by his two sons.Ernest enjoyed talking to people and continued to go to work until his death. He will be missed by his family and friends!A memorial service for Ernest will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 11:00 AM at the Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral Home on Colonial Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Ernest's memory.
