Obituary of Elmer-V. Andrews

->Elmer V Andrews, 92, passed away quietly December 26, 2010. He was predeceased by Marjorie J Andrews his wife of 43 years. He is survived by his sons and their wives; Vernon and Anna Andrews, and Thomas and Cheryl Andrews, and his step-daughter and her husband, Jerri Jean and James Meys. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a loving extended family. After serving as an Army Medic in WWII, Elmer joined the International Brotherhood of Painters. He loved to hunt and fish and shared this love with many children. He was an avid hockey fan and held season tickets to the Broome Dusters/ Binghamtom Whalers for numerous years (seat 27/E/11). Many children also accompanied him to these games! A graveside service at the Vestal Park Cemetery, Main St., Vestal, NY will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 at noon with a luncheon to follow at the Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main St. Vestal, NY.
