Obituary of Elizabeth-M. Preston

BILLERICA -- Elizabeth M. Preston, 83, formerly of Andover and Wakefield, died Sunday, April 30, at her Billerica home.She was the wife of Stanley Preston, who died in 1992.She was born in Wakefield, Nov. 20, 1922, daughter of the late Ralph and Anne E. (Leach) DeCecca. She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1940.She had worked at various jobs in Wakefield including, Mystic Novelty, Wakefield Theatre and Shoe Horn. She had also worked at Zayres and the Doherty Insurance Agency in Andover.Mrs. Preston was a member of St. Florence Parish and Sons of Italy in Wakefield. She was also a member of the Ladies of Merrimack, the November Club and the Catholic Daughters at St. Augustines Church in Andover.She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Paul Lussier of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Gregg and Paul Lussier Jr.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Barbara DeCecca of Methuen; her companion, Fred DeVries of Wakefield; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Smith of Bristol, N.H., and June Laura of Weare, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
