Obituary of E. -Rose Allen

ALLEN, E. ROSE (MORRIS) BENNETT, 70, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009. She was a member of Audubon Baptist Church and had tirelessly donated her time with the Home of the Innocents. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Mae and Vivian Stanley Morris; son, Jerry Wayne Bennett; daughter, Cheri Tucker; her granddaughter, Heavenly Love Hodge; brother, Jerry Morris; and sister, Sue Snider. She is survived by her husband, Bobby R. Allen; children, Jackie Bennett (Peggy) and James Bennett (Ute); daughter, Heather Hodge; 12 grandchildren, Crystal, April, Kellie, Bobbi Jo, Bastian, Daniel, David, Josh, Michael, Hannah, Joey and Ashlee; 11 great-grandchildren, Kristi, Caylee, Ashton, Abby, Skylar, Devin, Haley, Bryce, Sydney, Cassi and Natalie; and her brothers and sisters, Lillie Shane (Buddy), V.N. Morris, J.T. Morris (Peachie), Louise Moseley (Billy), Wayne Morris (Carol), Gene Morris (Gayle), James Morris (Debbie) and Claudia Carlisle (Jeff). Her service will be noon Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation is Wednesday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Home of the Innocents.
