Obituary of Dorothy McDonald

MCDONALD, Dorothy (Stephenson) Peacefully, on Saturday, April 25, 2009, after 95 years of a life well lived. Formerly of St. Teresa's Parish, New Toronto and Griggs Manor, Etobicoke. "Aunt Dolly" will be fondly remembered by daughter Mary and a large extended family in Ontario, Michigan and throughout the U.S. She loved music, literature, had a wicked sense of humour and always demanded the "best one can do". The most important things to her were her family, her faith and her keen awareness and love of nature. Strong and independent, she lived her life according to one of her favourite quotations, 'I shall pass through this world but once. Any good thing, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again.' Sincere thanks to nursing staff on D-5 at Sunnybrook Hospital for their outstanding care. In celebration of her life, donations in her name to the World Wildlife Federation or Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
