Obituary of Dorothy-Marie Cassidy

Dorothy Marie (Pierce) Cassidy, 86, Jacksonville and formerly of Venice, died Dec. 10, 2006. She was born May 1, 1920, in New York City and came to Venice in 1968 from Floral Park, Queens, N.Y. She moved to Jacksonville 1997. She was a Sunday School teacher and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Louis Ashton; sons James G. of St. Augustine and William L. of Ponte Vedra Beach; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. According to her wishes, her ashes will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico. National Cremation Society in Jacksonville handled arrangements.
