Obituary of Dorothy Cavanagh

CAVANAGH -Dorothy (Abrey) passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2008. She was born January 15, 1919 to Wilfred and Orpha Abrey. Dorothy grew up on a farm outside of Dauphin, Manitoba. She was the youngest of 11 siblings. She married George in 1942. They lived in many parts of Canada and their last home together was in Kelowna, BC until George's death in 1997. Dorothy then moved to Saskatoon in 2000, her last two years residing at Porteous Lodge. Many thanks to all the staff there for their outstanding care and compassion. She was pre-deceased by her parents; many of her siblings; her husband, George; and son, Gil. Surviving her are her daughters, Karen Folk (Don), Kim Cavanagh; brother, Bert Abrey; sister, Jen Froelich (Bill); sister-in-law, Norma Motherwell (Bob); and grandchildren, Mia Cavanagh, Shelayne Loeppky (Curtis), Travis Loeppky and Denny Loeppky; five great grandchildren, Joshua, Kiera, Megan, Jadyn and Tate. Mom's only wishes were to be with George again, and at her request she will be laid to rest with him in Kelowna. May God bless you and keep you safe Mom until we meet again.
