Obituary of Doreen Mann

Doreen Edith Mann (nee Bolingbroke)October 29, 1927 - August 26th, 2013Peacefully and surrounded with the love of her family, Doreen passed away August 26th, 2013 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. Doreen was the daughter of Oliver and Mae Bolingbroke, sister to Zita Kuzyk (nee Bolingbroke), Mona Cameron (nee Bolingbroke) and Dennis Bolingbroke; sister in law to Carole Bolingbroke and Dolores Janisse. Doreen was the only living member of the immediate Bolingbroke family. Carole is the only surviving (sister in law). Doreen was a loving wife, mother and foster mom, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and confidant to those she loved. Doreen was at her happiest when caring for her children and providing service to those in her life. She loved to cook! Her Grammy Fried Chicken, homemade soup and cookies, and cinnamon buns were enjoyed not only by her family, but the community of Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. For many years she prepared hot lunches for the local school and prepared and served Sunday morning buns for Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Fort Qu'Appelle. She also catered and organized many fall dinners with the CWL and the community of St. Victor, Saskatchewan. Doreen will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 58 years, Otto Joseph; her children, Greg (Effie), Jeff (Patrice), Maureen, Patrick (Nancy), Anna-Marie (Stephen) and Maggie. She was loved by her sons-in-law, Ed Baraniecki and Kim Beaton. Her great example of how to serve and love fully will also be remembered by her eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The Mann Family would like to thank St. Paul's Hospital and Royal University Hospital for the care and comfort provided over the past few years. The family appreciates the loving care and support extended to Doreen during her last years. Funeral services, as desired by Doreen, will be with her family in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan.
