Obituary of Donald-Patrick Malone


MALONE Mr. Donald Patrick "Don" Malone, age 41, of Milford, beloved husband of Lorrie Nelson Malone and beloved father of Meghan Nelson Malone, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007 in the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven. Son of Dorothy Quinn Malone of Clinton and the late William Edward Malone, he was born on May 11, 1965 in New Haven. Don was employed by Sysco Food Service of CT for the past 12 years. Don's career with Sysco began in Maryland, where his outstanding talent as a salesman was recognized immediately. Don's career flourished when he accepted a position here in Connecticut and he was soon promoted to Fairfield County District Sales Manager. During his career Don earned many awards including Sysco's highest Sales Associate award, that of "TORCHBEARER". Don earned the respect of all of his co-workers and will be greatly missed by his Sysco "family". In addition to his devoted wife and mother, Don is survived by, two brothers, Paul Robert Malone and his wife Theresa Owens Malone of Higganum, Stephen John Malone and his wife, Alison Tokarcyzk Malone of Moodis, a sister Sheila Malone Keuver and her husband, Arthur William Keuver of Clinton, many nieces and nephews, and was a loving godfather to Riely Malone Keuver, Ashley Elizabeth Malone and Nicole Taylor Ladouceur. He is also survived by his sister in law, Kelly Elizabeth Ladouceur and her husband, Lt. Col. Timothy Ladouceur of Fayetteville, NC, mother in law, Kitty Nelson of Milford, father in law, Victor Nelson of Milford, and a beloved cousin, Doris Groves of New Haven. True to his Irish heritage, Don was known for his quick wit and story telling, laughter and fun followed Don where ever he went. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Visitation, 54 Grove St. Clinton. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford.
