Obituary of Donald-Eugene Mullins


ObituaryDonald Eugene Mullins, 56, of Fort Pierce, FL passed away Monday, November 15, 2004. Born on June 28, 1948 in Richlands, VA, he was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce. A graduate of Dan McCarty High School Class of 1966, he attended Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC, prior to serving in the United States Army. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. Mullins was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce, a member of Fort Pierce Lodge #87 F.&A.M., Saint Lucie County Shrine Club, and Amara Shrine Temple. Mullins was President and owner of Mullins Incorporated (founded in 1947) with offices in Fort Pierce and Ft. Myers. He was a founding member of the Florida Crane Owners Council. Survivors include his mother, Edith Smith Mullins; his sisters, Corky and Sharman; brother-in-law, Michael Jeffries; two nephews, Shad Mullins Slade and Douglas Alexander "Dak" Knoll; a great nephew, Shad Mullins Slade, II, all of Fort Pierce. Friends may join the family for a celebration of Donnie's life at the St. Lucie County Shrine Club, 4600 Oleander Ave. on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004 at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce, 4500 South 25th St., Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
