Obituary of Doris-Emma Chapman

Doris Emma Chapman, a longtime resident of Tappan, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2007 at the age of 91. She resided in Tappan for over 60 years and was previously from the Bronx. Doris was born in the Bronx to Gustav and Emma Wolf on August 16, 1916. She was a homemaker and was also a lunch server at Tappan Zee High School for 10 years before retiring in 1982. Doris was an active member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Old Tappan, NJ. She is survived by her husband, William and her sons, Robert and William Jr. Doris was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret, who died in 2006. She was also predeceased by three brothers and a sister. A Funeral Service will held Thursday, 10 am, at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
