Clarence W. "Ike" Age 78, of Tioga, Pa. died July 31, 2003 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, Pa. He was the husband of the late Donna D. Whitney, who died March 15, 1982. Ike was born April 28, 1925 in Wellsboro, Pa., the son of the late William and Clara Bowers Whitney. He was a retired laborer at Ingersoll-Rand after 39 years of service. He was a 42 year member of the American Legion Post #0235, Tioga, Pa., and member of the VFW Post 6611, Galeton, Pa. Ike's children and grandchildren were very special to him and he enjoyed visiting and spending time with them. He was a US Army veteran serving overseas during WWII as a military policeman and was awarded four Bronze Stars. Surviving are sons, Gregory L. Whitney, Mainesburg, Pa. and Larry Villalobos, Mainesburg, Pa; daughter, Cheryl Boinske (Paul), Blossburg, Pa; grandchildren, Ashton Whitney, Rae Lynn Whitney and Paul Boinske Jr.; sisters, Pauline Ingerick, Wellsboro, Pa., Gladys Wheeler, Millerton, Pa. and Linda Kshir, Covington, Pa. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Friends and relatives are invited to Ike's Life Celebration on Sunday, August 3, 2003 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, Pa. Funeral will be there Monday, August 4, 2003 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial in Middlebury Union Cemetery.
