Obituary of Clara-Josephine Laboone

CAYCE - Services for Clara Josephine LaBoone, 100, of Cayce, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at First Baptist Church of West Columbia, with burial at Southland Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Lonnie H. Shull Jr. and Dr. Pete Cassidy. Active pallbearers will be Larry Beaver, Ronald Sims, Bobby Sellers, Glen Duke, Bob Maxwell, Ralph Greer, Mack Sims and Dozier Shaw. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mrs. LaBoone, widow of Fred LaBoone, died Sunday, May 5, 2002. Born in Eastanolle, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Green and Maude Isbell Rumsey. Mrs. LaBoone was a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. Mrs. LaBoone was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 260. Surviving are her daughter, Willie Maude Smith, of Cayce; a grandchild, Gary R. Smith, of Hudson, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Cassandra Gissendanner.
