Obituary of Clara-Bridget Galvin

Mrs Clara Bridget Saunter nee: Galvin February 5, 1920 - December 28, 2008 After enduring the challenges of 88 years with grace, dignity and humour, our Mother died peacefully in her sleep on December 28, 2008. Clara is survived by one sister, Florence Galvin of Sherbrooke, Quebec, her children, Margaret Saunter Burns, Bryan (Kayan), Bruce (Robin), Eleanor Logan (Tom), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Harry, her infant daughter Madeline, son Harry Jr., infant grandson Daniel Burns, daughter-in-law Colleen, and 11 brothers and sisters. Clara will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. The family expresses gratitude to Jeanne and her staff at Open Arms Family Care Ltd. for their loving care of our mother. Memorial service will be held Monday, January 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at South Side Memorial Chapel, 8310-104 Street, Edmonton. Clara’s final resting place will be with her husband at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.
