Obituary of Claire-M. Mathieu

->FAIRFIELD -- Claire M. Mathieu passed away with her family by her side Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.Claire was born in Waterville on Nov. 15, 1947, the daughter of Harold and Marie (Jackson) Palmer. She was educated in Rhode Island schools. Clair enjoyed being a homemaker. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening, and canning but her passion was caring for her family.Claire is survived by her husband, Alan Mathieu of Fairfield; her father, Harold Palmer of Rhode Island; her children, Michael Walter of Clinton, Kelly Walter and her friend Steve Booker, of Benton, and Wayne Walter and his friend Ivan Muniz, of Canaan; her stepchildren, Richard and Brent Mathieu of Florida; three grandchildren, Derek Pellerin, Kody and Kylee Loucks, all of Benton; a brother, Harold Palmer and his wife, Dawn; four sisters, Bonnie MacKenzie and her husband, Joe, Patty Santerre and her husband, Paul, Kathy Palmer, and Wanda Lynch and her husband, Cameron; a brother-in-law, James Rogers and his wife, Pauline, of Winslow; a sister-in-law, Carol Fowler of Unity; and many nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home -- Winslow Chapel, 173 China Road, Winslow, where a funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 27, with Fr. Paul Dumais officiating.
